Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas [TT-130] [1.02] #786

Open Voxel9 opened 6 years ago

Voxel9 commented 6 years ago

Displays Rockstar games/Rockstar North logos, and plays the Intro FMV fine. Completely black screen at the title screen and in-menus, but it's still interactive. Trying to get in-game results in an infinite black screen and frozen fps counter.

Previous behavior: None reported

Current behavior: Shows intros, black screen in-menu, freezes trying to get in-game

For me game refuses to boot and boots to dashboard. Need to test on other PCs - i tested on 3c8169b0. Even on a2bd0bba (report above was created with that revision) - it ruturns to dashboard, may be hardware/OS/Drivers issue. Attached debug log, return to firmware is on line14855. The game boots and the intro plays just fine. But screen goes black and freezes at the menu.

Ingame but slow.... image

Here is save file for much faster testing - you don't need to complete first mission and watch FMVs. PS completing first mission almost blind and with 3 fps - that's was VERY fun! Partition1_GTASA.zip

I tried Version 1.02 on latest build and its working more or less. Actual gameplay has stable 30 fps, but the overall graphics are just fucked up.

The cutscene audio is really slow. In game audio appears to be working pretty well. The rendering has a white grain over it.

bryce13950 commented 4 years ago

The issue with the slow audio in the cutscene seems to be resolved in the most recent build. The issue with the rendering persists.

bryce13950 commented 4 years ago

The title id for this one TT-130 1.02, and unfortunately it looks like the cutscene rendering has fallen to about 1fps with audio continuing to work

I also tried it with build 8087b15 and GTASA version 1.02

The game itself runs almost all the time with 1 FPS, but rarely it speeds up to 20 fps, noticable in cutscene.

The console output also spams this when initally loading the game: [0x2830] WARN : NT NtReadFile Failed! (0xC0000011)

And when the game runs with more than 1 FPS, it spams these two messages: [0x2830] WARN : D3D8 Unsupported : D3DCLEAR_STENCIL flag for D3DDevice_Clear without ZBuffer [0x2830] WARN : D3D8 Unsupported : D3DCLEAR_ZBUFFER flag for D3DDevice_Clear without ZBuffer

One time this message: [0x2830] WARN: PSHB HLE_draw_state_update incomplete!
