Original Comment: "Remboursement, Dommages, Resolution, Resiliation, etc."
Clarification is required for this story. Which recourse should we recommend to users? When should we recommend each recourse? When do we (if ever) recommend legal action? Do we simply create a decision tree (flow chart?) based on the law and match facts from their case? If so then, we require a lot of domain knowledge.
Similar to #16, machine learning techniques can be used instead of using a decision tree, with a loss in precision and recall.
We don't recommend. We suggest the possible recourses by displaying what's been typically awarded in the past to people with similar fact patterns, adjusting for the facts of the case. Example:
"other people in similar situations were a) awarded on average a 43% refund on the retail price and b) allowed to cancel their monthly subscription"
"other people in similar situations were a) allowed to rescind the original lease agreement"
"other people in similar situation were a) awarded on average 2000$ to compensate for medical fees b) 1000$ to compensate for pain and suffering and c) 500$ as punitive damages."
Based off the example you provided, this sounds like a generalization of user story #11, with the addition of cancellation of the lease. Also, it sounds like all recourses will be based on the outcome of a hearing. Does this mean we will not "suggest" non-hearing venues for resolving their issues?
User story 17 is different from user story 11 since the latter focuses on the amount of damages when damages are owed, whereas the former refers to the whole scope of remedies available (injunctive relief, nullity of contract, cancellation of contract, damages, etc.). These are remedies that going to trial will yield.
I can't find a user story that suggests "online dispute resolution, negotiation, mediation, small claims court, régie du logement, demand letter, lawyer, etc.". This one is meant to present all the options available besides going to trial.
We could enlarge user story 17 to include those notions.
These options will perhaps each require their own user story. I am assuming that interactions with the system will be different for each remedy. Can we have a list of remedies that our system should support? from there, we can split this story into several smaller ones.

The remedies in court or the options outside of court?
Remedies that should fall within the scope of our system. With an indication of whether it is in court or not.
