When an ECT is registered on our service, we need to let them know about the privacy policy for security and data reasons.
We also might want to prompt them to update their name if it's out of date on the Access your teaching qualifications service. This is so their name is correct in our service and will be correct in other DFE services.
We could do this only when a school has given us an alternative name, or always mention it. It could also be split into another ticket and picked up later.
It might be also good to mention that the ECT or mentor should tell the SIT if they want their email changed on the service.
