I modified theta_s, theta_b, and N and tried again. This time the model blew up after eight hours, but still, there is only one extreme point in the speed, and it occurs across all layers.
In the "u" figure, the abnormal point only appears in the bottom layer. And the magnitude is smaller compared to v.
How should I go about solving this issue?
have you corrected this ? you could look at the bathy at that point, the boundary forcing data, etc.
