Calibration step to small for finish calibration #315

For remote automation software there'isnt possibility to manage the calibration 
step time in case of some kind of target Declination. Last week i shot the Iris 
Nebula, i'm not able to finish the calibration without changing this parameter. 
Not big problem but if its possibile to send (using JSON RPC) also the 
declination of the target before calibration (or like new parameters of GUIDE 
command) i think PHD2 can change the calibration step time according the 
calculator window algorithm. For remote this will be so useful.

This may be a duplicate of issue 220.

Leonardo, do you have an ascom connection to your mount that can provide 
declination? If so, it is not necessary to recalibrate when changing target 
declination.

Yes for sure i have ... my application manage camera, telescope, guiding, 
planetarium, focuser and more.
Attached a screenshot during working on my last image.

Target shot are fully automathized.
Not necessary what mean ? PHD2 can read declination from telescope ?

That's right. I think this is one of the most useful improvements in PHD2. See 
here: http://openphdguiding.org/man/Basic_use.htm#Automatic_Calibration

You can calibrate once, preferably at a low declination (near celestial 
equator.) Then PHD2 will automatically adjust calibration according to target 
declination (obtained from mount.)  PHD2 will also get SideOfPier from the 
mount and will automatically flip the calibration data if you do a pier flip.

Recent builds introduce an Aux mount connection enabling this functionality for 
those who need to use an ST4 connection for guiding, yet have an ASCOM 
connection available for scope pointing information.

Thanks for explanation. Great feature. Anyway not necessary the automation 
software is connected to ASCOM Mount. And this mean PHD2 can't adjust 
calibration. I renew my ask for add an optional parameter to GUIDE command with 
declination , if its possible.

I don't quite understand your comment there, could you try again? Are you 
saying that two applications cannot connect to the mount concurrently?

Not All mount have ascom driver,  thats my meaning. But is a low priority 
request, no problem Andy.
