Topics for f2f Meeting in June 2024 #423

For dash.js I would like to discuss the main features/topics that are relevant for DASH-IF. I will provide an overview of the upcoming features that I have in mind, and we can prioritize the items and extend the list. There might be additional input coming from our dash.js F2F on Monday before the IOP F2F

I can present the current status of livesim2, including how dash.js is "built in", and new DASH features such as ECCP and MPD DASH. I can also present a starting list of possible features to add. Some related to dash.js may have been already prioritised in the dash.js f2f, but others like CMAF Ingest output are potentially interesting as well. Enhanced documentation/promotion could possibly also be discussed.

If we want to go beyond maintenance and a very limited number of new features per year, it would also be good to touch on additional funding.

@haudiobe has agreed I can attend part of this meeting as a guest as in previous years. I would like to give an update on HbbTV's DASH interop activities (https://github.com/HbbTV-Association/ReferenceApplication - a test application, test content and running both on a zoo of European Smart TVs) and see if there are any opportunities for cooperation.

I'm interested in progress on https://members.dashif.org/wg/Interoperability/document/4873. I'm working on getting ExoPlayer to work correctly with what this means to the user seek timeline. Also Dash.js could use some tuning in the usability for this use case.

I would like to present a proposal for usage of two adaptation sets for scalable video delivery using DASH. First draft uploaded - IOP24009 https://members.dashif.org/wg/Interoperability/document/4939
