A larger food waste / compost bin #1654

I have been trying to be a bit greener and separating out the kinds of food waste that are compostable here in my house

I know we have the little metal tin for coffee grounds but that is in my experience more often than not full so the grounds end up in the bin.

I brought in a bag of food waste for @goatchurchprime the other day and it got me to wondering if it's logistically doable to have a bin or a composter or something maybe "out the back" we could put waste into and then "allotment people" or gardeners could take it.

Or if there's a better way to support people composting food waste?

I think it'd be tricky to have something "out the back", now that Melodic are in the yard as there isn't really much of an "out the back" any more and they're (understandably) super vigilant to any food waste as it might attract rats.

Feels like the main barrier to composting more is working out how it'd get taken away regularly. The current level is dependent on @goatchurchprime (as seen whenever he's away and it fills up :-)
