Image move away diagonally #197

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have Nunchuk connected
2. Open MPlayer-CE 0.5

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The menu should come up and it does but it also starts to move the whole
image up and away to the right as if you had an eternal code loop doing X
+= 1 and Y -= 1. If I press and Hold the C-button on the Nunchuck it will
reset back to there the whole picture should be but when releasing the C-
button it starts to move again. Same thing if I disconnect the nunchuck.
It then stops to move and if I reconnect it starts to move again.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?OS
4.0e (updated from 3.4e via Waninkoko)

Please provide any additional information below.
Same thing happened a few times under MPlayer-CE 0.4 but then i could just
restart the wii and it was fine. With 0.5 it happens every time I open the
player.

Sounds like you have a broken nunchuck. Does your nunchuck cause involuntary
movement in other Wii applications or games?

Are you sure you aren't just accidentally holding the nunchuck c-stick down
when you
plug it into the wiimote? It may be causing the center position of the c-stick
to be
read incorrectly.

I'm sure. I couln't really believe the error when I first saw the image
actually
start to move when I plug the Nunchuck back in again so I tried several times
and
I'm 100% sure thecontrolls of the Nunchuck weren't touched. I was only
holdingthe
actually connector of the nunchuck when i plugged it into the WiiMote.

For now I only have one Wiimore and one nunchcuk but I will try and test with a
frieds nunchuck as soon as I can (or by a secodn controll anyway).

I guess the nunchuck could be broken but still work fine in games? I'm
currently
playing Super Mario Galaxy without any problems and as you probably know the
nunchuck is used a lot in that game. Strange thing this!

Not for me, tested 0.75 and it still acts the same. A little improvment though,
now
also the analog stick works to move the image with from side to side which
means
that if I go left, the image still moves move up and away to the right corner
but
just half the speed x-wise:)

Still haven't gotten to tested with a different nunchuck so it might very well
be a
faulty controller, don't know for sure!

i have a nunchuck inserted while in mplayer ce 0.75 and nothing happens i
tested it by
inserting the nunchuck before and after loading mplayer ce your nunchuck must
be a third
party nunchuck or there is something wrong with your wiimote
