Some datasets, such as the ETH canopy height dataset, or the DEM dataset, miss a clear time component. They are measured at a certain point in time, but that is less representative further away you are from that point in time.
A way of dealing with this would be to not give these datasets a time component, and have the resulting dataset lack a "time" dimension. This would also save disk space extrapolating the values.
