I would like it if a "+" button was shown in the media view if you are watching/reading the media. The button would increment the watching/reading count by 1 the same as the "+" button on list entries.
There is a little bubble that says "watching" which I can click on and then edit the episodes watched count from there. However I think it would be a nice convenience to have a button there to increment the watch/read count and save the user (i.e. me) a few more clicks.
