Keyboard not working after version 3? #38

Hi there,

Dont know if this is still being worked on at all, but I think I might have
found something. It seems the keyboard support does not work after version 3
and I think the problem is exactly the same as what is mentioned in case 32 on
the frodo emulator defects list:

http://code.google.com/p/frodo-wii/issues/detail?id=32

Now this is probably due to my setup in some way so:

Wii OS version 4.3
HB 1.0.8

Im in no rush as to whether this gets fixed now that I have a workaround but
thought you would like to know.

Cheers

Thanks for the hard work!

I queried Simon regarding frodo defect and he replied thus:

'I'm aware of the problem, but I don't really work on wii stuff anymore.
Probably this is easy to fix by simply rebuilding the emulators against newer
libogc/SDLs, and basically anyone can do that. I'd be happy to give people
commit access to the repositories if they like to contribute!'

From the above I take it he has also finished work on uae-wii, but may also
help out other people in that regard as well.

How can we persuade him to do this little fix? There must be a way!

I'm sitting here sending out loving thought in the hope that he might receive
them and thus feel inclined to give WiiUAE a couple of hours of his time.

Well, to explain my position (which I believe I've done in other bugs here
:-)): The development I do in my spare time is purely for fun, and
"unfortunately" I have too many fun projects to work on, so some (like this)
tends to get lower priority.

However, it's all open source so anyone can step in and fix remaining bugs or
develop new features. This particular one probably isn't very hard to fix
either.

I should also say that I only have one computer at home, and that's a laptop. I
have no USB keyboard, so I can't test this particular bug. Yes, I know they are
cheap to buy, but I really have more than enough stuff in my apartment. :-)
