Lament Saplings won't grow #5042

Describe your issue.

I purchased Lament Saplings from the Market npc and planted several around. They're located at y=110 in a Seasonal Birch Forest biome. Planted on grass. I've ensured they have plenty of room around them and I've spammed them with bonemeal, left them for hours while I putter around nearby and none have grown.

I cheated in some Tree Fertilizer and that does force them to grow, but as this is gated behind Silk Touch for the coral, it's a bit inadequate for someone like myself who just wants to use that lovely purple/blue wood color.

Pretty sure these are a nether tree. Try them on netherrack.

They actually can't be planted on Netherrack or Nylium. They can be planted on "Grassy Netherack" but the issue of them not growing persists there. Even in the nether they aren't growing.

I can grow them with bonemeal on grass in the overworld just fine, until y level 105 or above, then it stops working for me
