GDPR compliance? #337

Do we have a strategy for properly handling GDPR requests? We have until May 25th, 2018 so we might want to consider starting a working group in early May to develop a strategy.

aklise commented 6 years ago

We're going to need a Data Protection Officer to monitor our compliance and enforce the W.I.S.P and reprimand violators.

AndrejsAbrickis commented 6 years ago

What's the status of this issue? The 25th of May is just 2 weeks from now. And we have estimated that it would take us a week to update to the next FizzBuzzEnterpriseEdition version.

Will probably need to enroll somebody from the "Big 4" consulting firms to show up once a week and then go back to get more info from their team.

I've been reading hackernews and I think the best practice for this is to block users in the EU from accessing the app until we have a GDPR compliance strategy in place.

How will I be able to buzz? Buzzing is part of my business strategy, are there any GDPR-compliant alternatives?

focalstrategy commented 6 years ago

We've migrated to a 100% cloud based Fizz as a Service (FAAS) provider - we ended up just providing the Buzz for users outside the EU. To be honest, most of our revenue stream is derived from the Fizz anyway, the Buzz was just there as an early growth hack.

@agilob You probably need to consider adopting Fizz as your company business strategy for Q3 and Q4, and issue an ICO for external Buzz assets next year.
