LICENSE? #72

This isn't enterprise without a license.

Dmitry-Me commented 11 years ago

Come on, no license means absolute copyright and noone can use it - that's next step enterprise.

redchair123 commented 11 years ago

@Dmitry-Me it would have to be some draconian license. My favorite is the "Microsoft Office Extensible File License":

https://github.com/stephen-hardy/xlsx.js/blob/master/LICENSE.txt (license)

https://github.com/stephen-hardy/xlsx.js/issues/8 (discussion)

Dmitry-Me commented 11 years ago

@Niggler IMO implicit absolute copyright would be draconian enough and very enterprise grade.

joezeng commented 11 years ago

Yes, but for bureaucratic ass-covering and the like, I'd think there should be an explicit declaration of copyright somewhere in the source tree itself.

ccallebs commented 11 years ago

I'd request that at least 1/3 of contributors get a certification in software licensing before a decision is made.

emiln commented 11 years ago

We have commissioned a trusted lawyer with the task of formulating a license. Hopefully this will address the concerns raised in issues #72, #13, and #29.

chuckadams commented 11 years ago

The license needs to direct you to a sales number to inquire about pricing.

CoenraadS commented 10 years ago

The full license should be included in the header of each file to ensure there is no legal misunderstanding.

Sinius15 commented 10 years ago

@CoenraadS This sounds like the best solution for this enterprise.
