Bri12415/v.next merged with main #655

There are some issues with our usual workflow for merging v.next into main that im facing.

So here is what I did:

Branch off of latest v.next with bri12415/v.next_merged_with_main
Merge main into that branch
Open PR to merge bri12415/v.next_merged_with_main into main

Used UitoolsExamples to verify branch

Qt 6.5.6 & Qt 6.8.0 MacOS good
Qt 6.5.6 & Qt 6.8.0 iOS good
