Reasoning: The Astronomy and Astrophysics term in the subject ontology only covers science topics outside the solar system (according to the term definition). So this term will cover the field of study of the solar system.

Recommendation: The term is present the Unified Astronomy Thesaurus (UAT) with URI: http://astrothesaurus.org/uat/1529.

Reasoning: The UAT is the reference thesaurus for the astronomy community.

Definition

The branch of astronomy that deals with the science of the Sun, the solar system natural bodies and the solar system as a whole.

Thank you this makes a lot of sense. I will also review the UAT more thoroughly within the context of FAIRsharing; my background in the Life Sciences means that I may miss source terminologies in other domains that are quite well known.

I'll do an update of the ontology this month. Thank you again!
