If the print that failed to cut through was on Proofgrade material with Proofgrade settings, please do the following:

• Send us front and back photos of the print, along with the date and time (with time zone) and the type of material if available.

• Include photos of your optical components (Printer Head Lens, Printer Head Window, Laser Window, and Printer Head Mirror).

If the print that failed to cut through used non-Proofgrade material OR used manual settings, please follow these steps:

  1. Turn off your Glowforge and check the following:

• The crumb tray is clean and properly installed.

• The material is perfectly flat on the crumb tray.

• All optical components are clean and undamaged.

Design is set to “Cut”

  1. Perform the following test print:

• Print the Gift of Good Measure on Proofgrade material, using Proofgrade settings.

• When the print finishes, leave the lid closed and wait until the fans stop and the picture updates.

  1. Check the completed print:

• If the test print fails, take a photo of the front and back of the print and attach these photos to your reply.

• Include photos of your optical components (Printer Head Lens, Printer Head Window, Laser Window, and Printer Head Mirror).

  1. If the test print cuts successfully, try printing of the design you first had a problem with.

• If the second print is successful, the issue may be resolved.

• If the issue still occurs, let us know and we will continue with more troubleshooting.
