Voice Chat creates lag on main thread

Describe the bug

I tested this in single player, every time I pressed v the game would get a severe fps drop.

Replicate:

• Press v, release, and wait 1-2 seconds before pressing v again

Showcase: I showcased the bug in the sandbox gamemode so you can see the orange icon right bottom whenever I press v.

Please try restarting steam and confirm whether it still happens

I did a full steam restart and the issue is still there Edit: I just did a full pc reboot and still have the issue

I'm unable to reproduce this bug, are you still getting the issue @timmybo5 ?

Seems to be better now, Ill check over the course of a few days to see if the problem has completely disappeared

After testing all week it seems the bug is still present for me

Does this still happen? I think it was mentioned somewhere before that this is caused by a pending Steam update or something, is that the case here?

@xezno It still happens for me almost every time, I will say that It seems to be less frequently lagging when playing on a dedicated server than in local single player

I currently have the bug. I heard that it may be tied to Realtek but I am unsure... @xezno
