In hammer, when you are in vertex editing mode you can see the vertices gizmo(?) that you can click on yada-yada.
When switching to any other mode, like Edge (2) or Face (3), the vertices disappear, clearing up your view and signaling to you that you switched.
That is not the case in Scene Mesh, which always shows you the verts regardless of the mode you're in.
Depending on topology complexity, that will either make your work tiny bit harder (harder to see what you're doing) or just drive you crazy. Not good.
Show vertices only in Vertex Mode (1), like in hammer.
Pretending its ok

These can get super in your face with more complex geo. I think I should at least have an option to hide it in edge mode, cause its literally in the way sometimes
What can't you do?

How would you like it to work?
