Pop-up: Achievements and loot-from-chest (wq) are displayed top of screen and beyond #184

hi there,

first of all, thank you very much for such an awesome UI. It´s fun to use, but I encountered a bug.

When looting/opening a chest from wq-reward, the looted items are displayed at top of the screen, growing upwards, which leads to some looted items are going to be displayed outside the screen.

Same goes for archievements-pop ups, they´re displayed on top of the screen, instead of lower half.

But, when there is also some NPC talking, like when you completed a wq - then things are jumping into the right place, from top to bottom (!)

Maybe you guys can invetigate into this issue?

Please keep up developing this sweet UI

Kind Regards,

Elo

Linked to #28

Elowan commented 6 years ago

thanks for linking.. oh man, this problem seems to be known for a while... still no fix - hmmmm

Elowan commented 6 years ago

so - bonusrolls were misplaced as well?! oh dear...

finalsliver commented 6 years ago

I believe they use the same anchor in the frames so they are quite probably all linked.

Elowan commented 6 years ago

Ok - so for hitting the "roll" icon, you´ll need a macro?! Or is this still reachable?

finalsliver commented 6 years ago

on most screens its reachable. yours is the first where I've heard it being offscreen.

Might I ask your Screen resolution and UI scale?

Elowan commented 6 years ago

I am on 2560x1440 - and maybe it was a misunderstanding: I asked you, if there is a need for a macro and if the roll button is still reachable. I did not had to roll, yet - so I don´t know. Was just asking in advance and to not look stupid in raid tomorrow ;)

UI scale - I think, I just took, what SVUI installer suggested as "high". There is no slider in interface anymore, I believe?!

finalsliver commented 6 years ago

SVui defaults with Autoscale but any info is good in regard to this bug. 2 sliders exist for UI scale. one in the SVui options under 'screen' and another under the native 'System/Advanced' screen

Elowan commented 6 years ago

Ok - I´ll have a look and report back - it may take a while

Elowan commented 6 years ago

Oh, one more thing: I got DSR activated in NVIDIA settings, so it is actually rendering WoW @3840x2160 and displays on 1440p monitor.

Elowan commented 6 years ago

Ok, I checked some settings: "System/Advanced" UI-sclae was set to "1". SVui option "screen" was set to scale 0.64 -> set it to "Auto" now, but makes no difference. Still misplaced loot-popups... :(

It's just more info for when someone competent comes along to take a look. development has slowed while some real life issues have arisen.

this sounds not too good, to be honest
