[Dungeon] [5-man] - Bug Compilation -- Hellfire Citadel

Status of the report: 100%

• Hellfire Ramparts: Most of the trash issues plus some issues with Omor the Unscarred were resolved in https://github.com/FeenixServerProject/Archangel_2.4.3_Bugtracker/issues/2725 and therefore deleted from the list.
• Blood Furnace: Most of the trash issues plus some issues at the encounter of Broggok were resolved in https://github.com/FeenixServerProject/Archangel_2.4.3_Bugtracker/issues/2731 and therefore deleted from the list.
• Shattered Halls: Most of the trash issues were resolved in https://github.com/FeenixServerProject/Archangel_2.4.3_Bugtracker/issues/2772 and therefore deleted from the list.
• FIXED means that a working fix was applied to PTR.

A.) Hellfire Ramparts:

• 1.) Miscellaneous:
  • a) FIXED Bonechewer Ripper should be immune against all forms of crowd control (source). Immunities for Blind, Cyclone, and Fear need to be added.
• 2.) Omor the Unscarred:
  • a) FIXED His aggro range is too large. It is ~ 40 yards atm, but it should be ~ 20 yards. (Proof at 00:12)
  • b) FIXED He doesn't have a correct caster behavior. He should be rooted at his current place and have a similar mob AI like Leotheras the Blind in his demonic form. In this video you can see that he is easily tankable by a caster and that he doesn't move. Wowwiki.com also shows that he should be range tankable.
  • c) FIXED He should use Shadowbolt (normal) and Shadowbolt (heroic) if he is range tanked on his highest threat target. If he is melee tanked, he should still melee hit.
  • d) FIXED Minor bug: He also aggroes on players with Gamemaster rights.
  • e) FIXED Spawned Fiendish Hounds don't despawn when the group wipes.
  • f) FIXED He uses Treacherous Aura (normal) / Bane of Treachery (heroic), but it instantly fades from the affected person after 1 second again without any effect. (This worked until a few months ago.) (In the combat log it says: "Triokon's Bane of Treachery failed. (Invalid Target)")
• 3.) Vazruden the Herald and Nazan:
  • a) FIXED Nazan should have a high amount of fire, nature, frost, shadow, and arcane resistance in both modes. (I recommend ~ 200 in heroic mode and ~ 100 in normal mode) (source: wowhead comments).
  • b) FIXED If Nazan is attacked while still flying in the air (after he dropped Vazruden the Herald to the ground), he currently aggroes the player and flies down to the ground. He should instead still fly around the platform and shoot Fireballs on the ground as he does already correctly if he is not attacked in the air. Nazan should start to land if he reached 20% health. (Wowwiki.com: "Nazan won't land until Vazruden is on 40-50% or if Nazan himself is on 20%.")
  • c) FIXED If a player runs too far into the platform after the Hellfire Sentries died and if Vazruden the Herald + Nazan are still in the air, the event may restart somehow and the Hellfire Sentries respawn again (with a small chance of completely breaking the event). [Not reproducable for me on PTR, but saw it happening on LIVE]
  • d) FIXED Only in HEROIC mode: The base damage of Nazan should be reduced to 4,779 - 5,781 damage. (He currently seems to have ~ 8000 base damage) (Source cannot be posted here, but I have never read any comments about high melee damage of him)
  • e) FIXED Only in NORMAL mode: The base damage of Nazan should be reduced to 1,304 - 1,697 damage.
  • f) FIXED Nazan should be immune to bleeds. (source: wowhead comment ("Appears to be immune to bleeds as well."))
  • g) FIXED Nazan should be immune to interrupts.
• 4.) Watchkeeper Gargolmar:
  • a) FIXED His Surge should always hit the furthest away player in 40 yards range. He currently seems to charge a random target.
  • b) He currently yells "Do you smell that? Fresh meat has somehow breached our citadel. Be wary of any intruders." when players enter the instance. He should instead say that randomly. Decide for yourself by watching this video.

B.) Blood Furnace:

• 1.) Miscellaneous:
  • a) FIXED Proximity Bombs of Shadowmoon Technicians don't deal any damage if either the group is out of combat or the Shadowmoon Technician died (Not sure which alternative causes that). They should still deal damage, though. (The strategies at Wowiki indicate that they should still do damage out of combat)
  • b) FIXED Laughing Skull Rogues should respawn pretty quickly. I guess 20 minutes would be a good respawn time. (wowwiki.com: "Rogues still respawn fairly quickly on heroic, so keep an eye out.")
  • c) FIXED Shadowmoon Warlocks don't cast Fel Power on nearby Felguard Annihilators and Felguard Brutes. They should also do this out of combat. 20 sec CD and only one buff per Shadowmoon Warlock at a time. (source at 08:33 - 08:37)
  • d) FIXED Shadowmoon Summoner currently interrupt their ability Summon Felhound Manastalker with Flamestrike and don't summon a Felhound Manastalker because of that.
  • e) FIXED Magtheridon doesn't yell some quotes (At least he only yells them one time when reaching the last boss). From Wowwiki: Magtheridon randomly utters one of these 6 quotes as players progress through the Blood Furnace:
  • "How long do you believe your pathetic sorcery can hold me?" (10251)
  • "Illidan is an arrogant fool! I will crush him and reclaim Outland as my own!" (10249)
  • "Wretched, meddling insects! Release me, and perhaps I will grant you a merciful death!" (10247)
  • "Away, you mindless parasites! My blood is my own!" (10250)
  • "Vermin! Leeches! Take my blood and choke on it!" (10248)
  • "My blood will be the end of you!" (10252)
  • f) FIXED Shadowmoon Adepts don't use Thrash, probably triggered by this ability with a 25% chance.
  • g) FIXED The quest item Fel Orc Blood Vial should be dropped by every creature in heroic and normal mode Blood Furnace at 100% drop rate while the quest The Blood is Life (horde) or The Blood is Life (alliance) is active.
• 2.) The Maker:
  • a) FIXED He uses the wrong Mind control spell. He currently uses Mental Domination that changes your model and lasts 2 minutes. He should instead use Domination, lasting 10 seconds, increasing the damage of the controlled player by 200% for 10 seconds, and decreasing the melee attack speed of the controlled player by 100% for 10 seconds.
• 3.) Broggok:
  • a) FIXED Broggok can be pulled through the door without starting the event. He should not be attackable until the event is done and the door is opened. The event is bugged afterwards because the gate in front of Broggok does not open anymore.
  • b) FIXED Fel Orc Neophytes and Nascent Fel Orcs should not aggro through their cage doors. (It would be good if they stay unattackable and don't aggro until their specific cage has opened up.)
  • c) FIXED Only in HEROIC mode: The opening of the cages is currently based upon a timer of ~ 30 seconds. But wowwiki.com says that this timer needs to be 2 minutes. If the group kills that cage quicker, "each successive cage opens immediately when the last orc from the prior cage dies.", what currently works fine. (wowwiki.com: "Once each wave is defeated (or approximately two minutes has passed since the last wave was released) the next wave will come immediately.")
  • d) FIXED The Orcs currently just run out of the prison to a certain place. They should instead aggro the nearest person when the cage opens. (source)
  • e) FIXED Only in NORMAL mode: The health of Broggok should be reduced to 31,000 healthpoints. (source)
  • f) After you wipe one time at the encounter, it does not properly reset and the lever for activating the event again despawns.
  • g) FIXED The overall base damage of Nascent Fel Orcs should be reduced significantly in both modes. (Databasegm already has recommended values via PM)
  • h) FIXED The cooldown for Poison Bolt (normal version) and Poison Bolt (heroic version) should be increased by several seconds. Broggok uses it far too often currently.
• 4.) Keli'dan the Breaker:
  • a) FIXED Only in HEROIC mode: The time between his emote Closer! Come closer... and burn! and using Fire Nova is too long (~ 10 seconds at the moment). He is stationary for a moment, but a few seconds later he can move around freely before he actually uses Fire Nova. The time difference should be 5 seconds (video 03:01 - 03:06) and he should be stationary until he casted it. (https://github.com/FeenixServerProject/Archangel_2.4.3_Bugtracker/issues/1823)
  • b) FIXED Only in NORMAL mode: He can move around freely in the time between his emote Closer! Come closer... and burn! and Fire Nova. He should stay stationary.
  • c) FIXED Only in HEROIC mode: He does not pull you properly to him when he does the emote Closer! Come closer... and burn! and Fire Nova. You are ported to him. It should instead pull you to him. (proof at 9:09)
  • d) FIXED If you run on top of one of the blue lights in the room, you should get the buff Rage of Magtheridon. This already works for enemies if you draw them in the light. But it should also work for players.
  • e) FIXED If he is out of combat, he should channel Evocation. He currently does this only after you wipe at the encounter one time. (proof)

C.) Shattered Halls:

• 1.) Miscellaneous:
  • a) Shattered Hand Gladiators should fight each other until they reach 30% of their health (wowwiki.com recommends to wait for their health to drop to about 40% before engaging. Therefore, 30% would make sense.). When they have reached 30%, they should do the animation /bow, regenerate their HP to 100%, and restart the fight after a short break. They are just standing there at the moment. (Source)
  • b) A problem in the script of Fel Orc Convert, which pulls certain mobs in 50 yards range, must be removed.
  • c) FIXED Shattered Hand Champions should be immune to crowd control effects according to Wowwiki. They are not immune to Sap, Blind, Fear, and Cyclone at the moment.
  • d) FIXED Shattered Hand Legionnaires should not be sheeped or alike according to Wowwiki. They are not immune to Sap, Blind, Fear, and Cyclone at the moment.
  • e) Shattered Hand Legionnaires don't do the following things:
  • If another mob dies near them, they should use Enrage in combination with the emote: Shattered Hand Legionnaire goes into a rage after seeing a friend fall in battle.
  • If another mob dies near them, they should once call (the mob runs from the end of the hallway to the Legionnaire) or at least spawn 1x Fel Orc Convert while shouting:
    • "Fighter down!" (10172) (10197) (10222)
    • "Replacement, quickly! (10173) (10198) (10223)
    • "Next warrior, now!" (10174) (10199) (10224)
    • "Fall in! Mok-thora ka!" (10175) (10200) (10225)

    • "Engage the enemy" (10178) (10203) (10228)
    • "Attack!" (10179) (10204) (10229)
    • "Next warrior, step up!" (10180) (10205) (10230)
    • "Join the fight! Agrama-ka!" (10181) (10206) (10231)

  • f) If players come up at the ramp, Shattered Hand Scout (GUID: 206997) shall yell Invaders have breeched the defenses (Sound ID: 10285), run along the hallway to Blood Guard Porung (GUID: 200058) / Shattered Hand Bloodguard (GUID: 207030) and despawn there (source at 01:01).
  • g) After C.1.f. is done, an event should start:
  • Blood Guard Porung in heroic mode and Shattered Hand Bloodguard in normal mode shall yell: Archers, form ranks! On my mark! (10156) |then| Ready! (10157) |then| Aim! (10158) |then| Fire! (10159).
  • Then the 2x Shattered Hand Archers shall shoot burning arrows (most likely spell 37035) along the hallway if players stand in line of sight. (source: You can duck into a cubby on the side to take a very short breather. This de-aggros the archers [...]) Those arrows should hit the ground, explode with AOE damage and leave burning spots on the ground. (source)
  • Shattered Hand Zealots should start to run at the players. You can completely observe this event here and here.
  • h) If a player enters the instance for the first time, the following should happen:
  • The Shattered Hand Legionnaire in the first hallway should yell after a few seconds (or after a player gets in line of sight) one of the following quotes:
    • "Line up and crush these fools!" (10187) (10212) (10237)
    • "Form up! Let's make quick work of them!" (10188) (10213) (10238)
    • "Get ready! This shouldn't take long." (10189) (10214) (10239)
    • "Form ranks and make the intruders pay!" (10190) (10215) (10240)
    • "Show them no quarter! Form up!" (10191) (10216) (10241)
  • Then Shattered Hand Heathens and Shattered Hand Savage on NORMAL MODE, only Shattered Hand Heathens on HEROIC should run to the hallway at their current positions on PTR. (They are currently spawned at their desired positions for running in at PTR with the according "ready" emote) (source).
  • After that happened, the Shattered Hand Legionnaire should sometimes randomly yell (most likely on one of his waypoints) (source):
    • "Line up and crush these fools!" (10187) (10212) (10237)
    • "Form up! Let's make quick work of them!" (10188) (10213) (10238)
    • "Get ready! This shouldn't take long." (10189) (10214) (10239)
    • "Form ranks and make the intruders pay!" (10190) (10215) (10240)
    • "Show them no quarter! Form up!" (10191) (10216) (10241)
  • These 5 mobs, should be replaced Shattered Hand Heathens and Shattered Hand Savages and new one should spawn and run to the hallway until the nearby Shattered Hand Legionnaire is killed. (source)
  • i) Shattered Hand Legionnaires don't use Aura of Discipline and Pummel.
• 2.) Grand Warlock Netherkurse:
  • a) His Void Zones don't do any damage. The creature Lesser Shadow Fissure that does the damage is not spawned. They should do 2000 shadow damage per second starting 1 second after standing in them (1 second rule). (source) (I was not able to find any heroic values. Just make 3500 damage per second in heroic mode). Source about higher damage.)
  • b) He should do more Deathcoils and Void Zones. (Proof)
  • c) He often channels Shadow Sear on players. He should not cast it on players at all. He should only use it against Fel Orc Converts. (--> 2.d.)
  • d) When players enter his room, he should start to torture the 4x Fel Orc Converts in front of him. He has several abilities to torture them and should use one of those ~ every 10 seconds:
  • Using Deathcoil on all 4 of them. He should yell while doing this: "Run, coward, run!" (10260)
  • Using Void Zones on some of them. He should yell while doing this: "Beg for your pitiful life!" (10259)
  • Using Shadow Sear on some of them. He should yell while doing this: "Your pain amuses me!" (10261) (Fel Orc Converts should /beg when hit by the spell)
  • All can be seen here. He even kills them as you can see in this video.
  • e) During the torture scene, Fel Orc Converts should yell randomly one of these quotes:
  • Aahhh!
  • Augh!
  • No more hurt!
  • Graaagggh!!
  • It hurt!
  • It hurts!
  • No more scary!
  • No more!
  • No more!!
  • Pain!
  • Skin on fire!
  • This not good tickle!
  • f) He currently stands in place near his throne. Actually, he should wander around between the two purple flames near his throne (Waypoints: 169.2 291.4 -8.1 (xyz) to 178.8 288.6 -8.1 (xyz) to 187.2 291.4 -8.1 (xyz) to 178.8 288.6 -8.1 (xyz)) (source). If players kill a Fel Orc Convert and if he isn't torturing the orcs with Shadow Sear at the moment (2.d.), he should stop patrolling for a few seconds, turn in the direction of the orcs, use emote 21 (oneshot_applaud) and yell one of the quotes he already correctly yells when a Fel Orc Convert dies (source). (Quotes: Killsrv01-03; SoundID's: 10267 - 10269)
  • g) He currently is unattackable for players until all 4 Fel Orc Converts are killed. He should be attackable, but have a very small aggro range (~ 5 yards). If players decide to kill him together with the 1 - 4 Fel Orc Converts, he should yell: "You wish to fight us all at once? This should be amusing!" (10262) (source)
  • h) He currently yells "You wish to fight us all at once? This should be amusing!" (10262) even before the encounter started. This is wrong. ---> C.2.g.!
  • i) The beam of Shadow Sear goes into the ground. It should go to the target he is casting it on.
  • j) He doesn't do Dark Spin at 25% in both modes (source). He has to be stationary while doing this and stop using Death Coils and Void Zones.
  • k) Only in HEROIC mode: His Deathcoils currently do the same damage than in normal mode. Numbers about the heroic variant aren't available in the internet, so let him use Death Coild in heroic mode.
  • l) The door that leads further into the instance (The second "Grand Warlock Chamber Door" [objectID=182540](GUID: 112771)) should not be interactable by players. It should open up if Grand Warlock Netherkurse is dead, what it does currently. (Please note that the door should stay open after a server crash)
  • m) The following yells are currently said when Grand Warlock Netherkurse aggroes, but they need to be used instead when he slays a players (additionally to the other two existing yells that he currently uses when he kills a player):
  • "I am already bored!" (10271)
  • "Come on! Show me a real fight!" (10272)
  • "I had more fun torturing the peons!" (10273)
• 3.) Warbringer Omrogg:
  • a) If you are being feared by the boss while you stand on the steps, you have a high chance to fall through the ground.
  • b) If he still lives, he should also aggro when players attack Warchief Kargath Bladefist. This was implemented to prevent bypassing him. (wowwiki.com: "Attempting to skip O'mrogg and move on to Kargath Bladefist causes O'mrogg to add to the Kargath event.")
• 4.) Shattered Hand Executioner:
  • a) Only in HEROIC mode: If the server crashes, the Shattered Hand Executioner despawns.
  • b) Only in HEROIC mode: If the Shattered Hand Executioner is dead, all three prisoners should go a few steps to a place in front of them and use emote 66 (ONESHOT_SALUTE). (Video)
  • c) FIXED Only in HEROIC mode: You should not be able to talk with Captain Alina unless you have the quest Imprisoned in the Citadel (Alliance version). (She currently says "Greetings, name.")
  • d) FIXED Only in HEROIC mode: You should not be able to talk to Captain Boneshatter unless you have the quest Imprisoned in the Citadel (Horde version). (He currently says "Greetings, name.")
  • e) Only in HEROIC mode: The loot of Shattered Hand Executioner should become less with every prisoner that dies.
  • f) FIXED Imprisoned in the Citadel (Horde version) should give 500 reputation with Thrallmar.
• 5.) Blood Guard Porung:
  • a) Only in HEROIC mode: He used Frightening Shout until Patch 2.1. This should be reimplemented. 30 seconds CD. (source)

a) Sometimes Vazruden the Herald does not land on the ground if you loot both Hellfire Sentrys who start the encounter with their death. The script just breaks and Nazan is floating in the air. This has been fixed long time ago.

In Blood Furnace the event before Broggok with 8 orcs is surely a wipe on heroic difficulty. Is there a way to get to Keli'dan the Breaker somehow anyway?

Fel Orc Neophytes and Nascent Fel Orcs in Blood Furnace at the Broggok encounter should NOT spawn in packs that large (8), or, small (1). They also should not hit that hard.

edit: This is also true for heroic.

Comment by Triokon: I implemented their overall high damage output as a bug in the list and will discuss the damage adjustment with the scripter when the time has come for it. The wrong placement of them was caused by a conflict between PTR and LIVE and should be adjusted soon.

Update: It was discussed and the base damage in heroic mode will be reduced to 1600 - 2000 base damage and 200 - 350 base damage in normal mode (excluding attack power of the creature).

Atleast the Horde version of "Imprisoned in the Citadel" currently does not give reputation. Should give 500 reputation with Thrallmar: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=9525/imprisoned-in-the-citadel

seems to be broken again, on both normal and heroic.

This also doesn't seem to work, atleast he didn't do it when we just killed him on hero.
