Job Story: When someone is signing up for an account, I want the steps to be as minimal as possible and also not be boring so that the experience is smooth and quick

AC:

quickest path to user verification and getting the info needed to set up the account, without being confusing or having a big drop off %
design for mobile sign up first

I have some ideas for this. I think having a dynamic form will insure a smoother flow and not feel overwhelming to the user. In #8 you mentioned some of the information you wanted to request. I suggested also requesting a phone number since you want to offer text notifications. This would put the user at needing to provide 4-5 pieces of information and having them check a box for notifications and the privacy policy.

Having onboarding for new accounts utilize gmail, Apple, etc to sign in / with on our behalf is a great to help assist with user retention when first visiting the site.

This will get us good user information, and, additionally, this will help make the login look very spiffy and feel meaningful and official to users.👌🏽
