Update build process dependencies #418

The build dependencies should be updated to use dependencies supported by Ruby 3

I wrote a post explaining some history of the project, technical issues and my personal perspective. I would recommend you read it, if you haven't already.

I'm open to you becoming a co-maintainer, but as things are right now, you might in reality be the maintainer. Let me know your thoughts :)

Thanks for your response. Happy to start as a co-maintainer. The library of icons is very useful for a number of projects. Can look at improvements that allow automating obtaining a subset of the glyphs in required formats for projects.
