@PatReynoldsFUG is this supposed to be in Systemwide or should it be in FreeREG? Or FreeBMD2 even?!

The documentation of places (to enable cross-deatabase searching) is a systemwide issue, but this is specifically about FreeBMD - the only thing left to do is to add the field names to the spreadsheet. That needs someone with access to the database - possibly assign to Richard Light?

I've now done this, but wonder how useful this information will be. Is the plan to add coordinate information for each place? I don't see any such fields in the spreadsheet as it stands. Also, why are Sub-Districts even mentioned? Since they are not present in the GRO data it won't be possible to search for/on them.

I have reached out to Humphrey Southall in the hope of getting coordinate data for Registration Districts from their Vision of Britain database.
