This may provide a fix for Chrome notifications on Mac. I edited this file locally and did not get any of the flickering issues. Source: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=108383#c4

The file you edited is for the popup when clicking the TT+ logo, not for the notifications. I've been following the flickering notifications issue for some time and I think it is supposedly fixed in Chrome 19. Not positive though, as I don't have a Mac.
