Clusters menu: click to zoom in not zooming #317

It's possible I'm misunderstanding the option in the brief text, but in the clusters menu, when I hover over (or click on) a map feature, the brief text informs me that "This is the merging of 9 points. Click to zoom in." but when I click on the document, no zooming-in takes place (in the prototype ArcticCBM atlas in Safari, Firefox or Chrome). Does the message mean that I should manually double-click repeatedly in the atlas to zoom in to some level I find pleasing? Or is one click at the document supposed to spur the a zoom to the local area containing the merged points?

There are two standard modes for cluster click:

  1. Perform a multi-document selection
  2. Perform a zoom and centre on the cluster

Currently, the module is set to "multi-document selection". However, the pop-up bubble associated with clusters does not reflect that.

Which mode would you prefer? Should I change the mode or change the pop-up bubble.

I have changed the test site. The pop-up bubbles have been modified when hovering over a cluster. Please, let me know what you think.

Thanks JP - Sorry I wasn't able to get back to you on this yesterday.

I've just had a look and for this mode of the cluster click functionality, I think the hover/bubble text is logical now in that it explains what I should expect to see in the information panel.

Is it difficult to set it to the click and zoom mode so that I can test the behavior that way too?

I don't feel that I'm the best person to speak as to which mode should be active in the atlas - but I should test both and then can at least advise as appropriate if someone seeks my opinion.

I have discussed with Amos about your atlas. After reflecting on how the data is added, we think your best approach is to use the multi-select option.
