Govee Smart Plug Stream Deck Not Working #85

Bug Description

I’ve been using the Govee smart plug to power on and off my camera with my stream deck. I haven’t had a problem with it until recently. The problem I am having is, when I click the on button on my stream deck, it turns on. But when I click the off button, it stays on or doesn’t turn off. It’s been like the since the most recent update for the plugin released. Is there anyway I can fix this on my end?

Hey @imuhhWinner, there's a couple of things we can try to solve this;

  1. Firstly, as some settings changed in the update, I would recommended deleting and re-creating the action. This should ensure all of the settings are correct, i.e. the power is set to "Toggle On/Off".
  2. If that doesn't fix it, as an interim solution, you can use a "Multi Action Switch", with one action turning the power on, and the other turning the power off.

Ok I tried both methods and it only seems like the on command only works. Whenever I try to turn it off, it stays on.

Yeah it is H5086.

It looks like this device isn’t available in the UK, so might be tricky to solve. At the weekend I’ll put together a debug build with additional logging — if you could try with that build and report back, that will hopefully point us in the right direction.

Ok, so I uninstalled the 1.3.1 version of the plugin and reinstalled the 1.2.3 version. Then I turned off automatic updates and it started working again. Thanks for the feedback!

Any plan on making the new app version to work? I do not have a way of downloading the previous version. Would really love if these worked properly.
