We're keeping the notes for migrations inside the wiki, to avoid piling up legacy stuff inside the documentation. What do you think if your (very useful) notes would be placed there @dgquail?
Hello @giohappy, let's do what seems best to you. Our intention is to collaborate on a problem that we have noticed is very common. Tell me how we can collaborate on the wiki or copy the instructions directly yourself.
I know it's a bit annoying but the best would be to format the guide as markdown, and attach it to this issue, then I can take care of copying it to the wiki.
Hi @giohappy , I think it would be very beneficial to allow us to collaborate with the official help of Geonode, besides the user is where you look first and is the most common thing we find with the community. The Wiki would not be the first thing that the user sees the software. The built-in help is in Markdown and it's all as per the collaboration rules. It is also convenient because we are working on keeping the help updated and in several languages, which for us not only makes it more sustainable and inclusive but also allows massification in different regions. I hope you will reconsider including this collaboration and if we are open to incorporate more documentation in a collaborative way. Thank you !!!
Ok, we will take a look at the documentation inside this PR and if you confirm you can help maintaining the "Update GeoNode" section I'm fine.
@giohappy The changes that had been suggested have already been made, I don't know if you could see it Greetings
thx @dgquail the updated doc has been published
The PR includes a guide to upgrade from geonode 3.x to 4.x It also has modifications to the index where documentation about the upgrades is compiled.
