@tucotuco, @peterdesmet:

Via chat with Peter, cleanup the collab doc and then make public.

Which doc is this? It can't be opened at the URL given.

eightysteele commented 13 years ago

The doc that you and Peter worked on in Berkeley.

tucotuco commented 13 years ago

Odd, the link is working now. It's the Geomancer 2.0 Google doc. Who is the audience and what is the purpose for the cleaned up version?

eightysteele commented 13 years ago

Purpose is to make the dev process OA. Maybe? Audience would be likely by the public at large. Lots of good thought went into the doc so just don't want it getting too buried. Thoughts?

tucotuco commented 13 years ago

No problem. Just want to be sure that if work is done on it, the right audience is in mind.

Even though the original purpose of this document was to record our decisions on the Geomancer functionality, I think it is also a good starting point for the Geomancer documentation. So the intended public are Geomancer users and anyone interested how Geomancer works. The bulk of the document describes functionality and by having it in the documentation, Geomancer becomes less of a black box. I don't know where you want to host the documentation (Google Code wiki, Github wiki?), but I would prefer it being stored there, rather than in Google Docs.

Proposal + Blurb = Geomancer background? Questions = For us developers

Opening a project in Geomancer Project table List of locations Georeferencing options Georeferencing a location Features table (created by users) User settings

Priorities = Can probably be removed, as this will be reflected in the milestones?
