delay when switching from insert to normal mode #75

Don't know if this is only me, but there is a delay when exiting insert mode, and going into normal mode. This is quite annoying, as I have bound j/k to switch channels/buffers, and I can just sit and press j/k a couple of times before anything happens (1s/0.5s)..

Anybody else experience this?
