when you're importing a pictures collection, the collection may be specific to a genus, or to a family, and I just had to import such a collection, where we knew nothing except "it's orchids".
the importer now relies on the presence of Zzz, a further unknown genus in whatever family.
it would be fine if we could let the user indicate which genus to use, if not enough data can be inferred from the picture name.
also practical: just as in the accession window with species and location, let the user add items on the fly.
