The readmes are in the mod folder: https://github.com/Gibberlings3/widescreen/tree/master/widescreen But they're easier to read on the mod page, where the html is rendered. EE versions would verbosely fail on install, but why would you want the mod there any way, when the engine and GUI support arbitrary resolutions?
This project on GitHub definitely needs some explanations (why? what's for...?) on the main page, instead of useless GPL readme
That's what's currently there. People don't find this mod through github, but if you'd like to have another copy of it, feel free to submit a PR with the same content:
This mod allows playing of IE-based games at previously unsupported resolutions. www.gibberlings3.net/widescreen/
Could a README be added?
Could it also include which game variants are supported?
For instance I have BG2 EE, at some semi-old version from 2015 I think. Not sure if one can update it, but I'd love to know whether this is supported by the widescreen MOD or not. This would help me save time in case it is not supported. Hope I could explain the rationale; thank you for reading.
