Mounting disks on U64 (on some USB sticks) #28

Hello,

This may be a dumb's guestion, but I keep getting "?File not found" error message when trying to mount .D64 disk images. I can't even get a directory typing "LOAD"$",8" command. Even if I create a blank .D64 image, it similarly does not mount.

I have the latest U64 board.

I first thought it might be a faulty drive ROM issue (as i accidentally first deleted the "roms" folder). But since I reinstalled the 1541.bin, 1571.bin and 1581.bin found at github.com/GideonZ/, this does not seem to be the issue.

The C64 emulation itself runs fine, the issue is with the drive emulation.

Issues and bug reports can should be filed here: https://github.com/GideonZ/1541ultimate/issues

First thing I would advice you to do is reset the device to default configuration. Then make sure you have d64 disk image which actually have software on them. Then mount one of these disk images and try load"$",8 again to load the directory. Make sure that you mount the disk image in drive A which by default is the disk drive with device ID 8.

If is still does not work, provide us with the exact steps you take to get this error and the firmware version you're running.

Hello,

I reset all settings.

When I created .D81 image on USB stick, then it surprisingly loaded the directory fine. Tape loading from USB also loads fine. But when I try .D64 image on USB, then it gives "?FILE NOT FOUND". But when I copied and pasted the .D64 from USB to RAM disk, then it loaded fine.

Puzzling that one file type runs from USB and other type doesn't.

Board and Software version is: Ultimate 64 Elite V1.41 - 3.10c I tried another USB stick and so far this second stick does not show problems. Trying different ports I somehow managed to get the first stick working, but after shutting down and restarting the board the issue with the first stick (Integral 64GB, exFAT) shows up.
