Currently, shiprekt uses basic engine provided username rendering. Engine usernames can end up cluttering the screen, especially when there is multiple players on a ship. Health rendering is also done by the engine, and its bugged.

An improved, custom username rendering system would address these issues.

Username interpolation issues appear to be fixed thanks to the new player position sync.

seems unnecessary now honestly.. maybe i will reopen this if engine usernames ever become script-side.
