Using GitHub to get a better job

GitHub has not only revolutionized open source, but has also given employers a great tool to see the coding ability of potential candidates. Unfortunately, many developers (including people attending GitHub Kaigi) have public contributions that look like this:

If you don't have any open source contributions, you won't get hired by a company that values open source. But to get a great job, you don't need to be "open-source famous" either. This presentation will give you some tips how you can create a public profile that will make companies want to hire you.
