pressure sensor overshoot and ringing on solenoid valve C opening #184

Open jmriphagen opened 4 years ago

jmriphagen commented 4 years ago

the sudden opening of the inhalation valve causes a sharp spike (overshoots target by factor >3) in the pressure reading on the Patient side. followed by about ~ 800ms of ringing.

options

1: mechanical dampening ( might be needed in any case as the peak is real and might cause pressure sensor failure in the long run).

NOSHOK 5125 316 Stainless Steel Sintered Pressure Snubber with Grade A Disc, 1/4" NPT Male, 15000 psi Pressure Range

Dwyer has a inline R195 filter that goes down to 0.1micron that might work for both keeping biological matter out as well as dampening in one go.

2: Low pass filtering

so we need a decision on which aproach, if we use the low pass filtering, i'll need to have our pressure sensor model also produce this ringing signal to make sure we can filter it out without slowing the signal down too much.
