Background

As part of a strategic workshop, the Government of Alberta's design system team has gathered aesthetic feedback to refine and enhance the design system user interface. The goal is to achieve a world-class aesthetic that feels sophisticated, minimalistic, and user-friendly, drawing inspiration from leading brands and digital platforms.

Acceptance Criteria:

Incorporate minimalist design principles from brands like Warby Parker, Notion, AirBNB, and Shopify.

consider: black and white themes, using grey wells and strokes, large expansive spaces, and minimal accents.

Explore the use of elevation and depth in design

Explore the integration of new typefaces

Explore “dark mode” version of DS

Implement common design patterns that support both simple, transactional interactions and complex user flows.

“Relaxed”

Once direction has been set use the redesigned design system UI to create 2 contextual examples

AISH (also incorporating simple form pattern)

Income and Employment Support (Case management)
