The design system team has recently released a new pattern called "the simple form" to standardize form design and enhance usability across our digital services. ADSP has also developed a "form service" which includes both backend and front-end components. The front-end experience of this form service currently does not adhere to the design principles and recommendations of our design system, leading to confusion, inconsistencies, and potential usability issues.
To address this, we aim to align the front-end experience of the form service with the design system's "simple form" pattern. This alignment will ensure that both services are complementary, providing a cohesive and user-friendly experience across different platforms.
Design Audit:
Perform an audit of the front-end experience of the form service.
Identify discrepancies and areas that do not align with the "simple form" pattern.
Stakeholder Alignment:
Meet with ADSP to understand the requirements, constraints, and goals of both services.
Agree on the core design principles and user experience guidelines to be followed.
Design/documentation Alignment:
Suggest changes to the 'forms service” that would bring it into alignment with the "simple form" pattern.
Documentation and Training:
(If applicable) Update the design system documentation to include guidelines for integrating with the form service.
Touch base with Chris Olsen to understand if it would make sense for our simple form pattern to integrate with the backend part of the forms service.
