Install a backupt tool for the images in case of failure etc.

There are 42 figures. There will be at least 11000 images for every figure. 42 x 11000 = 46200

Additionally, there will be roughly the same amount of images for CNN images, otherwised filtered images etc.

It is save too assume, that the backup needs enough space for 1.000.000 images.

Image size -> unkonw ??

Mr. Maier had a good point, to first by one/two external SSDs and look how the process goes before investing into a Synollogy Backup
