Please add the MIT license here (or another one if preferred) before you work on it more so it's clear what license this is under.

Can't be MIT license currently, as it uses ALPSCore that is still GPL

Great opportunity to change the license of ALPS to MIT then! I think we have the OK from everybody involved. Let’s discuss on Monday.
