Other adventures in skipping missions to late game.:
Skipping retals and normal 'green' gops doesn't loose you the region contact. But if you fail the mission, it does loose region contact.
Skipping or failing Council missions both make you loose region contact.
I don't know what's intended, but this is inconsistent.
