Review Topics from 11/15 (#139) and 11/08 (#137)
See file from Roger Stewart, contrast with our trends virginia precipitation data & sunspots 1895 to present.xlsx
- "Also if you are interested in discharge trends at our 120+ gages the results are available on our internal mapping app. What I found interesting was that only 15% of the gages had a negative trend, tau. Given if trends were random we would expect a 50:50. Of the 122 gages 9 had statistically significant increases in flow, No trend? (Dep) P<=0.10, and none had significant decreasing flows...."

And Final map, the blue indicates a Tau value of -0.29 to -0.5 which indicates a strong correlation, the purple is inbetween strong and weak, and there are no land segments with weak correlation QGIS Tau NLandSeg Values

Sarah - As you improve the graph, definitely include a legend and caption that describes what this map is. For example, what is Tau and what does it mean? @snhandelsman

Comparing average annual precipitation between Rogers Stewarts data, and ours.

To obtain a Virginia annual average from our data, I averaged all of the land segments yearly mean precipitation values that were calculated in summary stats
Both seem to follow the same trends in terms of increase and decrease between specific years
The precipitation values Roger Stewart has tends to be slightly larger than what we have across the timeseries.

All of the wdm files have been populated!

The files are located in the following directory: /opt/model/p53/p532_alex/code/src/prad_met The bash script I used to populate them is in the /backup/meteorology directory and is called wdm_generation_allLsegs.bash

@durelles Dry Day Tau Trends.pdf This is what I have so far, is there a specific map format or anything I should follow/add to it? **edit I made the blue a lighter color so the segments were easier to read I just haven't uploaded it yet
