Job description
As a support for software development process, your role is to help the team to reach the highest possible software quality.
Under the responsibility to the Software Manager, You will work on various software projects with the project manager and help the developers to write the test plan. You will also be responsible to execute those plans. Some of the test phases will involve some understanding on how the system work and some creativity to try to trigger non trivial issue. You will also help in maintaining the defect database and help with risk analysis in collaboration with the software regulatory engineer.
You also have some scripting skills and a strong will to learn to help developer to automate tests and help with unit testing.
All this activity is relative to medical grade software, if follows the international regulation (FDA, EU62304).
Our technologies are developed primarily on Linux on C++, some of our softwares runs also on Windows and Mac. And we write additional Python scripts to automate some recurrent tasks.
Responsibilities includes:
Participation to the creation and evolution of the test plans. It implies understanding how the the customer uses the software.
Execution of the test plans.
Provide clear documentation on test results.
Complete testing in a timely manner, ensuring deadline adherence.
Help on risk analysis.
It could also includes, depending on the candidate skills;
Help on unit testing libraries, either by writing some unit tests to help developers (possibly in C++).
Automate some tests using some shell of python scripts.
Suggest ways to improve the software usability, provide feedback to other teams.
Requirements:
To be successful you need to have:
A strong analytical mind, be detail oriented and highly organized
A good understanding of the software development process
Good writing skills (for documenting the process)
Good communications and consultancy skills, very good English communication.
Good presentation skills
Work independently and be self-motivated
Work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders including team members, developers, support staff, and trainers.
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Some knowledge on programming and willing to learn writing unit tests (C++/Python).
We expect someone with 2 years of experience, and a very strong motivation to learn new things and help other programmers to improve the quality of our product.
Salary: From 600+ USD gross.

The Vietnam Team works with the French engineers as a one team. We share tools, code, knowledge and we are working on the same framework, technologies and projects. This job has many interactions with all team members. There will be some opportunities to write some code for testing, and learn a lot about technologies. The team is very friendly and multi-cultural.
