Since ure likely to contact someone by email (e.g. sharing google docs etc.) it would make sense to ensure that emails are unqiue.

I am able to contact add n/human1 p/912 e/email@gmail.com and contact add n/human2 p/912 e/email@gmail.com. Screenshot 2020-11-13 at 12.18.51 PM.png

Team's Response

After doing a competitive study with IPhone and android contact books(which all allow duplicate emails), we decided to make email not unique. For example the cs2103 has a general email that could be attributed to multiple contacts ( Prof / TAs ).
