I am a new user on an Nvidia Shield tablet, and have this issue as well. If the buttons disappear, my games are not tracked, despite my notifications bar still claiming the app is running.

Restarting Arcane tracker brings the buttons back for a game or three. It is great when working, just annoying to have to keep restarting - and to have untracked games if the buttons go away mid-game.
