As far as the drawer and action buttons disappearing, this seems to be a bug in
the ADWLauncher... It can be recreated by sliding the drawer icon instead of
simply clicking it. I noticed this in the first release of CM5. To restore the
buttons try and swipe from the top of the drawer icon to the botton (about the
last 1/4 inch of the screen its a little hard to do but possible) and it should
reappear. If anyone knows a way to keep this from happening please let me know!
This is also a feature for adding more launchers. You can drag them off of the
homescreen and into this dock. It can be disabled under Settings>AWDLauncher>UI
settings>Dockbar

The problem you are reporting is not a feature of ADWLauncher?
A small arrow appears in place of ADWLauncher?
If it does, try to pull it down.
From app description:
"Unveil the Dockbar flicking-up the app-drawer button and drop UNLIMITED
shortcuts/folders!"
Flicking-down hide it :)

Yes. I already checked it, added a comment explaining it and changed status to
FAQ.
Thank you for commenting with even more information :)

This bug happens all the time and for a long while too - SOMETIMES you can
bring it back by restarting the ADW launcher and SOMETIMES you can bring it
back by touching the bottom middle area of where it would be - worse case
scenario you need to restart your phone.
