Hyperium Installer Crashes when Installing OptiFine #734

When I run the installer using Java 8 (which I downloaded from here: https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp) I am able to follow the steps pretty easily until I get to the "Select OptiFine jar" stage. When I click on it, I get a window showing me all of these Java errors, which are repeated in the log.

The installer doesn't even open with OpenJDK 8 or OracleJDK 8. Please advise.

Hello there. First off: this is the wrong repo to report this on. You're meant to report this on the installer repo. Please include info about what os you're on and any extra information that could be important.
