[CRITICAL] some caption titles are printed as numeric XML unicoded string #1

For some languages, e.g., English, some caption are printed in numeric XML unicoded string, e.g. Zitrus for Zitrus = {90,105,116,114,117,115,0}. Amazingly enough, this seems to affect only latin captions: for Russian, Chinese, Korean languages, for examples, the captions seem to print as expected.

Still open in version 1.4.1 Amazingly, when there at least one special character, the unicode string is interpreted as expected.

Can you reproduce the bug ? Have you made any progress ?
