Pypi is not accepting current package due to wrong formatting of the `long_description', preventing new releases.

This is due to an issue in the parameter formatting of the setuptools setup and not related to the formatting of the long_description but due to a formatting errorin the download_url (via the version). A proper validation within setuptools is planned in https://github.com/pypa/setuptools/pull/1562
