Player focuses on an NPC ship which jumps away, game crashes #308

This is a second hand account from this forum poster:

Apparently if you have an NPC ship selected rather than one of your own and said ship jumps away, the game can crash.

Is it something that used to work before?

Expected behavior

View should revert to your last selected ship.

Actual behavior

Game crashes to desktop.
